By popular demand, here are pictures of my basement lab.

Late 2017: How It Started

In late 2017, I moved in to Pittsburgh. I brought with me a carton containing all my tools and parts. I started my lab on a folding table in the corner of the unfinished basement.

A stack of small toolboxes stored electric components and a cardboard box held drone parts.

Early 2020: How Its Going

This is the lab some time after I wound down my drone-building and started more serious exploration of home fabrication. At this point, I had acquired a cheap laser cutter and a cheap second 3d printer for my work.

The pegboard is partly decorative and partly functional.

The lighting for this is interesting: spare drone spars and 3W LEDs are assembled using 3d printed joists and provide overhead lighting.
